QUICENTRO SHOPPING RENOVATION & EXPANSION

Designed by Design 3 International, the Quicentro Shopping Renovation & Expansion adds approximately 18,000m2 to the existing 93,000m2 of retail space.  Quicentro continues to evolve into a more sustainable center using “green” building practices. The extensive renovation and expansion extends the façade toward the main road – Naciones Unidas Boulevard. Abundant greenery complements the expanded outdoor dining terraces for new international and local food concepts. Quicentro is one of the most successful centers in South America.

The central focus of the Quicentro Shopping Renovation & Expansion is the front of the center with an elongated block of retail and restaurant space, accentuated and balanced with the lush linear landscape. The pedestrian avenue is lined with storefronts, balcony areas, suspended canopies and outdoor restaurant seating. The style is distinctly modern employing clean lines and smooth, light-colored materials to define the experience. Features like eco-friendly materials, floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow abundant natural light to the interior of the mall, and greenery complements the expanded outdoor dining terraces for new international and local food concepts. The shopping experience is also being renovated to introduce more international brands including the very first H&M store in Ecuador. In addition to clothing, the new 3,700 m2 H&M store will have products from their home line. Other international brands opening at Quicentro include a newly renovated Zara, Under Armour Old Navy, PF Chang’s and Negroni.

Contemporary touches like exterior lighting and cantilevered backlit tenant ad panels give the project a infusion of bustling energy, and an updated and inviting public face. Quicentro represents another successful collaboration between the talented group of designers and architects from Ekron Construcciones and Design 3 International.
